Kelsey's journey into the world of design began with at a very young age of 7 years old. After Highschool, she pursued her love for creativity and innovation by studying Fine Arts at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Furthering her studies in Interior Decorating at The University of the Fraser Valley and then onto Interior Design at the well known British Columbia Institute of Technology, specializing in both Residential and Commercial design.

Throughout her educational journey, she also studied Architectural Science, Building Envelope Design, Structural Design, Building Codes, LEED, and Living Building Challenge, Psychology, Marketing And Business. Accumulating an impressive total of 10 years of education within the field.
 

At the remarkable age of 17, Kelsey assumed the role of Sales Manager at the renowned Polygon Homes. There, she not only assisted in decorating show homes and creating future phase designs but also pioneered marketing tactics still in use today. Energized by her experiences so far, she officially founded her own design business, securing contracts as a Sub-Contractor for several locally renowned Design-Build Construction Companies. Collaborating closely with their professional teams, Kelsey's designs helped earn multiple awards, setting the stage for her Mintaka team to achieve 7 awards later on, one being international.
 

Kelsey's commitment to design transcends to her personal life, with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a genuine love for architecture and history, she has travelled solo to over 40 countries,  immersing herself in diverse cultures and experiencing all aspects of wordily designs, both ancient and modern day. Over the years, she has filled countless sketchbooks and documented over 52,000+ photos, which now serve as an invaluable resource that inspires her work today.
